Award Objectives

Professor Darryl Groover was a member of the SDSU Painting faculty from 1967 to 1991. Upon his death from Lou Gehrig’s disease in the summer of 1991, Darryl Groover’s family, friends, colleagues and former students joined together to establish a scholarship in his memory.

This scholarship requires an online portfolio submission in addition to your online application provided in the link above.

ADDITIONAL APPLICATION MATERIALS FOR PROSPECTIVE SDSU STUDENTS: By the deadline, please submit a visual portfolio including up to 5 digital images of your art to art.advising@sdsu.edu. Please DO NOT submit your visual portfolio to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

You must log into the BLACKBOARD ART ADVISING HOMEROOM to submit your materials. You must submit portfolio materials in the BB Art Advising Homeroom “Journals” section to be considered for scholarships requiring a portfolio.
