Emergency Procedures
Faculty and Staff should familiarize themselves with SDSU's general Emergency Procedures(external link) in the event that an emergency should arise. Note: Documents in Portable Document Format (PDF) require Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher to view. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader(external link).
Emergency Evacuation Plan
The "Emergency Evacuation Assembly Point" for both the North and South Art buildings is the X Lot (lower parking lot below North Art located on Canyon Crest Drive). For specific evacuation procedures, including evacuation of disabled persons, please refer to the university's Emergency Preparedness page(external link).

Campus Safety and Security
San Diego State University Police, in the Department of Public Safety(external link), are sworn police officers highly trained in rapid response to unfolding emergencies. The department is here to protect and serve the campus community and adjacent neighborhood 24 hours a day.
