SDSU Art Council

The San Diego State University Art Council is a vital support group for the School of Art, Design and Art History and is composed of enthusiastic art advocates. Since 1980 the Art Council has promoted greater understanding and enjoyment of the visual arts. Each year, the Art Council sponsors the spring exhibition at the University Art Gallery, funds special guest lectures and supports annual student scholarships. The philanthropic contributions of the Art Council enrich San Diego State University, as well as the San Diego/Tijuana community.The Art Council invites you to take part in its support of contemporary art, as membership plays a vital role in advancing the goals of the Art Council to provide quality programs and publications. When you join the Art Council, you receive announcements of all exhibitions at the University Art Gallery, announcements of graduate student exhibitions at the Everett Gee Jackson Gallery, and information regarding all special guest lectures at the School of Art, Design and Art History.
