Party Lines: The History, Art, and Politics of Editorial Cartoons – Opening Reception

SDSU Downtown Gallery Event

Join us to celebrate the opening of Party Lines: The History, Art, and Politics of Editorial Cartoons, which examines an art form that brings awareness to political and social issues. Party Lines display over four decades of cartoons created during presidential election years, from past races to 2016, through multiple perspectives. Included in the exhibition are Patrick Oliphant, Jeff MacNelly, Steve Breen, Lisa Benson, and SDSU Alumnus Lalo Alcaraz, among others.

Party Lines is organized by the SDSU Downtown Gallery, in collaboration with Jim Tiffany. The exhibition and events are sponsored by Patti Roscoe and Jim Tiffany, Nikki and Ben Clay, Linda and Mel Katz, Una Davis and Jack McGrory, Karen and Kit Sickels, and The Frame Maker. Additional support is provided by the School of Art + Design, the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts, and Arts Alive SDSU.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
