Facilities

An Overview

SDSU's School of Art, Design, and Art History has very comprehensive facilities for almost every art-making need. Because the School places an emphasis on interdisciplinary studies, most studios are open to all art students. Some studios are available to students not currently enrolled in a specific discipline's course only with special permission due to safety requirements, and a lab fee may be required prior to use. The School's facilities are not available to anyone not currently enrolled in SDSU art courses.

Our studios encompass woodworking, ferrous and non-ferrous metalsmithing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, color and b&w darkrooms, large format digital printing, fiber weaving and surface design, 3D rapid prototyping, and high-end computing for design, multimedia, and video production.
