Biographical Information
David Fobes is an identical twin, musician, educator and artist living and working in San Diego California. Born in 1953, in Detroit Michigan, he grew up in Southern California and came to San Diego in 1974 to study environmental design and architecture at San Diego State University with the visionary architect Eugene Ray.
David earned his B.A in Art in 1979 and then came back to SDSU to study under Wendy Maruyama from 1990 -1994, earning an MFA in Furniture in 1994. Since then Fobes has taught at San Diego Mesa College and SDSU. He has had many one person and group exhiibitions and continues to make work and exhibit.
