Jackie Lo is a San Diego-based artist, educator, and animal lover. Her paintings explore the inconsistencies of language and dual consciousness of hybrid identity in signage and products displayed in ethnic enclaves. She is a co-founder of the Women Soaring Project, an educational art collaboration that recognizes important women in history and features juried art exhibitions celebrating women. Jackie holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Printmaking from San Diego State University and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Visual Arts Studio from the University of California, San Diego.
In addition to teaching at SDSU, Jackie is an instructor at MiraCosta College and Southwestern College.
