The School of Art + Design sponsors two formal programs to bring well-known and cutting-edge artists to campus:

Visiting Artist Lecture Series
Artist-In-Residence Program

Visiting Artist Speakers

Students and community members can attend lectures and presentations each semester by professional artists who are nationally and internationally known and who work in a variety of media. Additionally, many visiting artists participate in student critiques and studio visits.

About the Artist-In-Residence Program

The School of Art + Design “Artist-In-Residence” program is funded through an endowment to bring well-known practicing Furniture and Woodworking artists to the School for one semester to live in San Diego, create work, and teach students.
