Dane Picard is an exhibiting artist and filmmaker, he has exhibited work in museums and galleries in New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Florida, Austin, and Phoenix since 2000. His films have been screened across the United States and abroad including in Europe, South America, Bermuda, and India.
A personal highlight came in 2008 when his electronic paean to the history of traditional animation, Cornucopia Zoetropia, 2008, was included alongside Marcel Duchamp’s Rotoreliefs, 1935, in the group exhibition, “Cycling Apparati” at SolwayJones, Los Angeles. In April 2012, he was awarded the commission to create, design, and supervise the installation of two five-minute, five-channel HD animated video wall presentations for the new Resnick Sustainability Institute at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California.
