Bio
Jennette La Quire, AIA, LEED AP ID+C, as a Principal, leads Pre K-12 and Community Education Studio in the San Diego office of Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at the University of California at Berkeley and her Master of Architecture degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She builds strong client relationships that produce designs which are firmly rooted in their environment and surrounding culture. She is genuinely passionate about education and in creating spaces which nurture learning.
La Quire works with the rising generation of designers through her work as an Adjunct Professor at San Diego State University’s Interior Architecture Program and has been teaching in the higher education arena for the past 16 years. It is her active goal to share knowledge and experience with the youth of today in hopes of broadening their perception of the built world. Creating a learning centered environment in her approach to teaching allows her to become a conduit through which students engage with the subject matter.
