Biographical Information

Kline Swonger is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and environmental designer whose projects focus on creating objects and envisioning spaces to bring awareness to, and connection with, place. Swonger’s art, research, and teaching methodology combines her interests of perception, place, and people.

Swonger received her Master of Fine Arts in sculpture and installation from San Diego State University School of Art + Design. Prior to earning her MFA, she attended Pitzer College where she received a double major BA in Art and Environmental Studies with a focus on human ecology. Her AS in Landscape Architecture was received from San Diego Mesa College. Within the last ten years, Swonger has worked as an Environmental Consultant, Environmental Designer, and public artist.
