Biographical Information

Tavleen Kaur (she/her/hers) holds a Ph.D. in Visual Studies from the School of Humanities at the University of California, Irvine. She researches contemporary hate violence on the bodies and buildings of communities of color in the U.S. Tavleen’s teaching, research, and community work bring together art, architecture, film, hate violence, media, and social justice. She looks forward to (remotely) joining the SDSU community for the Fall 2021 semester.
